I need to change things up. I’ve lost my workout mojo over the past few months due to the cold weather, early darkness, traveling, moving, illness, and a bit of apathy thrown in as well. I tried to give myself some inspiration by signing up for a two mile open water swim in May as
Jessie’s January Jeers and Cheers
Over the past month or so I’ve been keeping a mental list of things to mention on this blog. These things are small and need no more then a word or two about why they are awesome or suck. Here is that list. 1. JEERS to the U.S. Postal Service. When you are running a
Heather’s resolutions
I don’t do resolutions as a general rule. It just seems so contrived- “It’s January 1st! What’s wrong with your life???” I prefer a slightly more optimistic approach to self-improvement. Also a more moderated approach. If there’s something I need to work on I don’t like to set January 1st as THE starting point of
Guest Post: Navigating the Rosedale Diet
I should start by introducing myself. My name is Sean and Monica (of this blog) is my sister. We’re probably as different from eachother as two people can be and still be related, though. I’m a little older than her but I’m probably half as mentally mature as she is. She seems to have it
…AND WE’RE BACK… with new pants.
Thanks for hanging in there while we took a brief blogging break! Looks like the beginning of fall hit us a little harder than we thought it would, but we are back in the swing of things now. Starting with… the tale of two new pants! I spend most of my time in black yoga pants. That

Putting My Money Where My Muscles Are
I love making plans, schedules, weekly calendars and the like for my workouts. Do I ever follow said plans, schedules, weekly calendars and the like? Rarely. Darn life gets in the way too often. Part of the problem is that I get too ambitious. Work out six days a week for the next six months?
Put Your Running Shoes On
I’m signing up for my next race today. It’s a 10K in Crofton on October 6. More information can be found here: http://arundelfire.com Who’s with me?
Useless Tips
I’m a sucker for headlines that go something like “10 Tips on How to Cut Your Energy Bill” or “Quick and Easy Ways to Save Money”. Even though past experience has taught me that 99% of these articles are useless, I always want to make sure that no, I’m not missing some great idea on
Training for Tri
As you may have gathered from my previous posts, Heather’s First Ocean Swim and My First Aquabike that, (besides being unable to commit to first or third person in my titles), I’m leading up to an even bigger event- my first triathlon. The triathlon in question is the Iron Girl Columbia Triathlon, an all female, sprint distance race.
